One clan name, several associations

The 2013 cultural assessment records different associations for Abagara: rats in Kitahurira, grasshoppers in Rushaga, and Erythrina trees in Sanuriro. For Abasinga, elephant, crowned eagle, or Hibiscus appear depending on the community. Some participants needed to consult elders, and two clans could not identify their association. These results turn variation into evidence: transmission depends on specific people and places. They do not authorise correcting a community to match another or constructing a single totemic table.
