A covering reconstructed from fragments

The review of the vehicles published in 2025 incorporates findings from the 2019–2021 campaigns and pieces conserved outside the old assembly. A rod fragment, coated in felt, still bore part of a bird's foot secured with a strap. That joint helps situate the textile figures on the cart's roof. The authors propose a dismountable superstructure with a rod framework and black and white felt. The new reconstruction does not rely solely on visual similarities: it combines conserved joints, fitting pieces and excavation records to revise an earlier museum image.
